A boom rest from a large sailing vessel with traces of its original colors. The boom was used to hold the sails as they rested on the boat. Carved into the boom is “Bunga Radja” which translated from the Malay language is “Flower King”. The jungle rooster motif symbolizes strength and vitality, virtues highly sought after by sailors at sea. Displayed on an iron stand.

Teak on iron stand. Fine vintage condition.
