19th Century Bronze "Colonee de la Grande Armee" Model

This 19th century bronze model is representing the Colonne de la Grande Armée found in Wimille, France. It was constructed to be a column honoring the soldiers of the Grande Armée and features a spiral frieze that recounts the Campaign, from the camp of Boulogne to the Peace of Pressburg and also consists of motifs such as cannons, uniforms, helmets, headdress, and flags. The figure at top, as in the actual column is Napoleon acting as guard on top of this memorial.
